The Whitehorse RCMP Detachment counter on Fourth Avenue will be temporarily closed from 8 a.m. September 26 to 1 p.m. September 27.
“This closure is to allow for the training of support staff,” police said Thursday.
“There will be no disruption to policing services as Whitehorse RCMP officers are always available to respond to calls for service/assistance to the public.”
The front door to the detachment remains open to access a telephone to call for RCMP assistance.
There is a phone in the lobby that will automatically direct people to the non-emergency line (667-5555), where the caller’s report will be taken.
To report an incident requiring urgent police action, call 911.
To report a non-emergency matter to the police, call 667-5555.
Citizens can also report non-emergency matters or crimes that are not in progress (such as property offences) to the police through the online crime reporting tool at https://ocre-sielc.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/whitehorse/en
If you require services such as criminal record checks, you can submit completed criminal record check forms to email@example.com or visit the detachment after it reopens on September 27.
