Curb Counter brings pop-ups and residences to Shoreditch, starting with From The Ashes | Recent news

Following the success of Seven Dials Market, Curb is stepping away from the street food scene with a new venture in Shoreditch – Curb Counter. It’s both about moving from his former home in Camden and moving on in the process.

It will be a test kitchen, designed to accommodate a number of pop-ups and residences in the coming months. And for starters, they have a pretty special collaboration in place, with the excellent From The Ashes in residence. Created during the first lockdown, From The Ashes quickly established a reputation as London’s premier smoking and barbecue expert. We were impressed with a previous pop-up at King’s Crossso think they have great potential.

You can expect dishes made for sharing, including short ribs of barbacoa and achiote celeriac, both served with tortillas, pico de gallo and homemade pickles. There will also be tacos including Cochinita Pibil, Lamb and Anchovies with their own “pie liquor” and Crispy Eggplant with Chipotle and Queso Fresco.

Alongside the food, there will be an all-day bar run by a combination of Gipsy Hill Brewing Co, East London Liquor and Redemption Coffee (and they’ll be encouraging the use of reusable cups).

More residencies will be announced soon – and when they are, we’ll let you know. our pop-up page.
